On August 2, 2025, the Law School of Beijing Normal University hosted a reunion symposium to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the law class of 2005. The event was attended by Liang Yingxiu, Dean of the Law School and President of the Alumni Association; Chai Rong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive Vice President of the Alumni Association; Vice Dean Yin Jianfeng; and Shang Haowen, Director of the Alumni Office and Secretary-General of the Alumni Association. They were joined by other faculty representatives and 21 undergraduate alumni from the law class of 2005.


Vice Dean Yin Jianfeng presided over the symposium. The event commenced with a welcoming address by Dean Liang Yingxiu, who extended a warm welcome to the returning alumni. He highlighted the Law School's recent development and its fruitful achievements in areas such as discipline construction and talent cultivation, expressing gratitude for the significant contributions the alumni have made to the school's progress.

During the proceedings, Vice Dean Yin Jianfeng reiterated the school's warm welcome, noting that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the Law discipline at Beijing Normal University and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Institute of Criminal Law Science. He observed that the alumni community continues to grow stronger and that the school's successes are inextricably linked to the outstanding contributions of its graduates. He affirmed that the school will continue to embody the spirit of "Pursue Moral Education, Promote the Rule of Law," striving for innovation through the legacy of its scholars and working hand in hand with alumni to build a promising future for the Law School.

Professor Luo Shuang from the College of Education at Capital Normal University, representing the Class of 2005, shared her reflections. She fondly recalled stories of her alma mater and her classmates, expressed gratitude to the faculty and the organizing committee, and conveyed her joy at reuniting with classmates from across the country to share in their collective growth and achievements. Subsequently, the alumni took turns sharing their campus memories, personal experiences, and career choices. Alumni such as Chen Rui, Dong Yuchong, Dong Wenwen, Du Yao, Huang Xiaofeng, Jin Yongfeng, Jin Weisha, Li Juan, Liu Chunhua, Liu Juan, Liu Ting, Liu Shuai, Luan Wenjing, Lü Sen, Mou Qi, Sun Xiahong, Zhao Ling, Zhao Chenguang, Zheng Jingjing, and Zhou Peng shared their beautiful memories with classmates and teachers in sincere words, discussing their developments after graduation and their career explorations and achievements in various fields. In this interactive session, alumni frequently shared their "golden quotes," enriching the seminar with either a warm or passionate atmosphere through their experiences and stories.




















Following the alumni sharing session, representatives Lyu Sen and Jin Yongfeng presented the Law School with a ceremonial jade disc inscribed with the words "Thirty years of legal elegance, cultivating talents at Beijing Normal University," along with a charitable donation. This gesture was made to express their profound gratitude and best wishes to their alma mater.

On behalf of the Law School, Dean Liang Yingxiu read a letter of thanks addressed to the Class of 2005 undergraduates in law, declaring, "Twenty years of camaraderie, a lifetime bond with the alma mater." He emphasized that regardless of the passage of time, alumni remain the school's most valuable asset and steadfast supporters. He extended a sincere invitation to all alumni to return often to relive their youthful days, rekindle friendships with former teachers, and witness and participate in the continued development of the school.

In the summary session, Secretary Chai Rong delivered concluding remarks. She stated that the seminar not only deepened the emotional connection between alumni and their alma mater but also built a platform for resource sharing and mutual progress. May alumni carry this original intention and continue to shine in their respective fields, and come back to visit often!

Finally, the attendees took a precious group photo, capturing this unforgettable moment of exchange, and the event concluded successfully amidst warm applause.

This seminar provided alumni with a platform to reminisce about their campus days and connect with each other, deepening emotional ties among alumni. The Law School of Beijing Normal University looks forward to maintaining closer ties with alumni in the future, jointly promoting the vigorous development of legal education.
