On October 15, the Party Committee of the Law School at Beijing Normal University and the Party Committee of the Beijing Internet Court jointly organized learning and collaborative-building activities. Professor Zheng Yanpu, Secretary of the Law School Party Committee, led a delegation of over 20 faculty and student representatives to the Beijing Internet Court for in-depth discussions. This initiative aimed to thoroughly implement Xi Jinping's thoughts on the rule of law, foster closer integration between legal education and judicial practice, and enhance the faculty and students' understanding of internet rule of law construction.

As a specialized internet court, the Beijing Internet Court has been steadfast in fulfilling its mission of "exploring new models of internet justice" since its inception. The court is committed to integrating Xi Jinping's thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era into its judicial operations. It has established a comprehensive online litigation system encompassing case filing, trial, and enforcement, and introduced innovative mechanisms such as the "Balance Chain" evidence storage and smart contract enforcement, providing valuable judicial practice samples for cyberspace governance.

During the "Smart Justice"-themed visit, faculty and students witnessed a "Cloud Trial" through a three-dimensional visualization system, experiencing firsthand a paperless case handling environment. Court officers demonstrated the operation of the "Balance Chain Evidence Storage Platform" and explained the technology for tracing and verifying electronic evidence. Subsequently, the staff guided the delegation into the Party building space, introducing the development history and achievements of the Beijing Internet Court in Party building, and showcasing the empowerment of technology and the strength of Party building. The achievements of the "Shouhu Future" brand construction, aimed at protecting minors online, drew particular attention. The court has innovated a multi-party collaboration mechanism, establishing a judicial protection system for minors on the internet through measures such as strengthening organizational mechanisms, creating platforms for legal publicity, and establishing specialized trial mechanisms.

At the discussion meeting, Sun Mingxi, Vice President of the Beijing Internet Court, introduced the court's practical explorations in areas such as artificial intelligence-assisted case handling and online trial technology applications, while Zheng Yanpu, Secretary of the BNU Law School Party Committee, proposed suggestions for deepening the integration of legal education and judicial practice. Subsequently, the faculty and students of the law school engaged in discussions with key personnel from the Internet Court, outstanding alumni, and others on professional issues such as the jurisdiction of internet cases, auxiliary technologies for internet trials, and the execution of internet cases.

This event established a communication platform between the theoretical and practical fields through a combination of "on-site visits and discussion seminars." Both parties expressed their commitment to continue promoting talent training cooperation, jointly conducting research on topics in the field of internet rule of law, and providing intellectual support for cyberspace governance.
