Law School Holds 2025 Annual Performance Review and Reporting Conference

On the morning of November 18, 2025, the Law School convened its 2025 Annual Performance Review and Reporting Meeting. Faculty and staff participated through a hybrid format, combining in-person attendance with online access. The meeting was presided over by Vice Dean Guo Yating.



Secretary Zheng Yanpu delivered an opening address, beginning with an overview of the assessment outcomes across the School's various teaching, research, and administrative units. He underscored the paramount importance of professional ethics and conduct, stating that these qualities as key performance indicators must be seamlessly integrated into every aspect of a faculty member's work, from daily teaching and student mentorship to professional interactions. Emphasizing the dual mission of educators as both transmitters of knowledge and shapers of student values, Secretary Zheng also outlined the School's strategic plans for faculty development. He announced that the School will enhance its support systems by refining training programs and securing resources, thereby creating a robust environment for professional growth. This initiative aims to empower faculty to uphold the highest ethical standards and drive the School's continued excellence.



Professor Xia Yang, Director of the Basic Theory of Law Teaching and Research Center, Professor Liu Peifeng, Director of the Constitutional and Administrative Law Teaching and Research Center, Associate Professor Zhao Xiaoshu, Director of the Civil and Commercial Law Teaching and Research Center, Professor Leng Luosheng, Director of the Economic Law and Environmental Resources Law Teaching and Research Center, Associate Professor Guo Xiang, Director of the Litigation Law Teaching and Research Center, Professor Xing Gang, Director of the International Law Teaching and Research Center, Professor Yin Jianfeng from the Institute of Criminal Law and the Institute of Criminal Policy Research, Associate Professor Zhao Shuhong from the Institute of Foreign Criminal Law and Comparative Criminal Law, Professor Zhang Lei from the International Criminal Law Institute and the Research Center on Cooperation Regarding Persons Sought for Corruption and Asset Recovery in G20 Member States, Professor Zhao Jun, Director of the Institute of Criminology, Professor Wu Zongxian, Director of the Institute of Crime and Correction, Professor Shi Limei from the Institute of Criminal Procedure Law and the Institute of Evidence Law, and Teacher Liu Hang, Director of the School Office, each represented their respective teaching and research centers, institutes, and administrative support staff to report to the entire School. The presenters reported on the construction of teacher ethics and style, talent cultivation, scientific research, and social services of this center and research institute, and recommended candidates for excellent assessment levels from this center and research institute to the School.



Dean Liang Yingxiu delivered a comprehensive summary of the 2025 assessment cycle. He began by expressing his sincere gratitude for the hard work and fruitful achievements of all departments over the past year. Dean Liang then outlined a clear strategic blueprint for the School's future, highlighting several key initiatives: accelerating the implementation of the "Management Measures for Limited Positions of Distinguished Professors" to strengthen the high-level talent ecosystem; proactively exploring the establishment of a dedicated discipline for disciplinary inspection and supervision to expand academic frontiers; and launching a new doctoral program in law to optimize the talent cultivation system. Furthermore, Dean Liang communicated the university's broader vision, emphasizing that the School will advance ten comprehensive reform measures, including the refinement of appointment and assessment standards, to systematically and scientifically steer the institution toward high-quality development.



Following the conclusion of the reporting session, the School's Annual Assessment Committee convened to vote on and officially ratify the list of personnel receiving excellence ratings for 2025.
