Professors Gao Mingxuan and Dong Hao were awarded the "9th Qian Duansheng Legal Research Achievement Award"

On July 25, 2023, the "9th Qian Duansheng Legal Research Achievement Award" (hereinafter referred to as the "Qian Duansheng Award") unveiled the list of selected works, with a total of 37 achievements being honored, comprising 2 first-place winners, 10 second-place winners, and 25 third-place winners.

Among the accolades, Professor Gao Mingxuan's "Legal Consultation Report" was awarded the first prize, while Professor Dong Hao's "Special Zone Leased Land: An Innovative Model of Regional Cooperation Legal System," published in the first issue of China Legal Science in 2015, secured the second prize.

The Qian Duansheng Award, named after the esteemed contemporary political scientist, jurist, and educator, Mr. Qian Duansheng, is a prestigious national legal research accolade. Its establishment serves to honor Mr. Qian's substantial contributions to legal research in China, foster the flourishing and advancement of legal scholarship, and support the development of the rule of law nationwide. The Ministry of Education has designated the Qian Duansheng Award as a "ministerial-level award," and it has been included in the statistical category of ministerial-level achievement awards by the National Bureau of Statistics. Since its inception in 2006, the "Qian Duansheng Award" has successfully completed nine cycles of selection, exerting profound academic and societal influence both within China and on the international stage, and has earned the reputation as China's equivalent of the "Nobel Prize in Law."
