I. Organizer

The Law School of Beijing Normal University (hereinafter referred to as "the Law School") stands as one of the most vibrant colleges within the venerable Beijing Normal University, which boasts a history of over a century. The Law School's lineage traces back to the law major founded within the Department of Philosophy in 1995, which later evolved into the Department of Law in 2002, the College for Criminal Law Science in 2005, and ultimately the Law School in 2006. Despite its relatively recent establishment, the Law School has already distinguished itself with remarkable achievements. In the 2022 QS World University Rankings by Subject for law, it is ranked 10th in Chinese mainland and 46th in Asia. The Law School is among the first national hubs for cultivating and training exceptional legal talent. It is a preeminent research institution in China specializing in criminal law science and is the sole academic partner in China for three major international criminal law organizations, including the United Nations Network for Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice. Additionally, the Law School is affiliated with the Research Center on Cooperation Regarding Persons Sought for Corruption and Asset Recovery in G20 Member States, the Chinese Branch of the International Association of Penal Law, the Beijing Enterprise Legal Risk Prevention and Control Research Association, and other prestigious bodies. The Law School's academic team is formidable, commanding high respect in both theoretical and practical domains both in China and internationally.


II. Supporting Unit

The Beijing Enterprise Legal Risk Prevention and Control Research Association (hereinafter referred to as the "Research Association") is the pioneering registered provincial legal society in China, specializing in the realm of enterprise legal risk prevention and control. The Research Association serves as a gathering point for renowned scholars, seasoned practitioners, and experts in the fields of legal risk management and corporate compliance within the capital, boasting profound theoretical insights and extensive practical expertise. Its mission is to harness the collective resources and strengths of various sectors, including the business, legal, judicial, academic, and media communities, to conduct scholarly research and provide social services with a Beijing-based focus. In fostering legal research, the Research Association offers robust legal support for the capital's high-quality economic and social progress. It also proactively organizes inter-regional academic exchanges, assuming a pivotal and constructive role in advancing the theoretical exploration and practical application of corporate legal risk prevention and control across China.


III. Program Overview

1. Program Purpose

With a keen focus on the theoretical cutting edge and practical implications of corporate compliance and criminal legal risk prevention and control, the emphasis is on a pragmatic, results-oriented approach. This program aids corporate executives and compliance personnel in bolstering their awareness of compliance and risk management, refining their corporate compliance management skills and criminal risk control proficiency, and fostering the robust growth of businesses and entrepreneurs. It also assists professionals involved in the compliance aspects of case-related companies in enhancing their expertise and practical skills in corporate compliance. Additionally, it addresses the practical demands of practicing lawyers seeking to broaden their scope of high-end legal services in corporate compliance, thereby advancing the evolution and enhancement of the legal service model for lawyers.

V. Teachers Proposed

Zhang Yuanhuang is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Law School of Beijing Normal University, director of the Entrepreneur Crime Prevention Research Center, and a member of the Think Tank Committee of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce. He once served as deputy director of the Third Bureau of the former Anti-Corruption Bureau of the Supreme People's Procuratorate.

Zhou Zhenjie is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Law School of Beijing Normal University, vice president of the College for Criminal Law Science of Beijing Normal University, dean of the Law School of Anhui Normal University, and executive director of the Case Law Research Association of the Chinese Law Society.

Wang Xiumei is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Law School of Beijing Normal University, and a member of the School’s academic committee. She also servers as the Director of the Research Center on Cooperation Regarding Persons Sought for Corruption and Asset Recovery in G20 Member States, Head of the Supreme People’s Court’s Duty Crime Research Base, and Vice President of the China Integrity and Rule of Law Research Association.

Huang Zhenzhong is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Law School of Beijing Normal University, vice president of the China-ASEAN Legal Cooperation Center, executive director of the Energy Law Research Institute of the Chinese Law Society, arbitrator of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, mediator of the China Chamber of International Commerce Mediation Center, and founder of France-Canada.

Fan Chongyi is the honorary dean of the Litigation Law Institute of China University of Political Science and Law and the National Legal Aid Institute, a first-level professor, and a doctoral supervisor. He is also a consultant to the China Criminal Procedure Law Research Association, an honorary member of the Expert Advisory Committee of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, and an expert enjoying special government allowances from the State Council.

Xie Pengcheng is a professor at Shandong University, director of the Expert Committee of the Corporate Compliance Committee of the China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, and former director of the Institute of Procuratorial Theory of the Supreme People's Procuratorate.

Sun Guoxiang is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Law School of Nanjing University, director of the Institute of Economic Criminal Law of Nanjing University, vice president of the China Anti-Corruption and Legal System Research Association, member of the Academic Committee of the China Criminal Law Research Association, and president of the Criminal Law Research Association of the Jiangsu Law Society.

Li Hong is a professor, doctoral supervisor, and director of the Commercial Crime Research Center at the School of Law at Tsinghua University, vice president of the Chinese Society of Criminal Law, and vice president of the Beijing Law Society.

Li Xiaoming is a professor at Kenneth Wang Law of School of Soochow University, a doctor of law, doctoral supervisor, dean of the National Supervision Research Institute of Soochow University and director of the Criminal Law Research Center of Soochow University. He is also a director of the Chinese Chapter of the International Association of Criminal Law, a director of the Chinese Society of Criminal Law, and an executive director of the Chinese Society of Criminology.

Li Yuhua is the dean, a professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Law at China People's Public Security University, dean of the Institute of Corporate Compliance and Social Governance at China People's Public Security University, and vice president of the China Criminal Procedure Law Research Association.

Han Yi is the dean, a second-level professor, and doctoral supervisor of the Law School of Minzu University of China. He is also a director of the Chinese Law Society, vice president and secretary-general of the Ethnic Law Research Association of the Chinese Law Society, and vice president of the Beijing Enterprise Legal Risk Prevention and Control Research Association.

Li Fenfei is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Law School of Renmin University of China, director of the Lawyer Business Research Institute of Renmin University of China, director of the Enterprise Compliance Prosecution Research Base of the Supreme People's Procuratorate (Renmin University of China), and executive director of the China Criminal Procedure Law Research Association.

Liu Hongxia is the Director of the Brand Investment Promotion Center of the China Investment Association, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Network of the United Nations Global Compact, and Researcher of the Corporate Compliance Research Center of East China Normal University, Head of compliance technology of the China Enterprise Confederation, drafter of the national standard "Guidelines for Compliance Management Systems", and arbitrator of the Guangzhou Arbitration Commission.

A. Training fee: RMB 7,800 per person. Trainees are responsible for their own accommodation and transportation during the training period.

IX. Certificate of Completion

Students who have completed the required hours of study and passed the assessment can obtain a Beijing Normal University training certificate stamped with the " Special Seal for Beijing Normal University Continuing Education Certificate". The certificate can be verified on the Beijing Normal University Training Management Information Platform (http://jpc.bnu.edu.cn/cms/zscx/index.htm).
