To address the array of legal challenges encountered in the establishment and refinement of national governance, to advance scholarly inquiry into critical aspects of modernizing national governance capacity and innovating legal theoretical frameworks, and to further cultivate academic dialogue between our institution and universities worldwide, the School of Law at Beijing Normal University is poised to host the 5th BNU Science of Law Doctoral Forum on November 18, 2023.
The forum extends an invitation to doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career scholars who have completed their doctoral studies within the past five years from both domestic and international universities, to engage in scholarly discourse. Concurrently, we will be welcoming esteemed scholars from around the globe, editorial boards of academic publications, and professionals with specialized knowledge in the forum's thematic areas to contribute their expertise through reviews, thereby aiding in the enhancement of the academic prowess of our younger scholars. The details of the forum are outlined below. We warmly invite you to reserve time in your schedule to participate in this esteemed gathering:
1. Conference Theme
The theme of this forum is "National Governance and Innovative Development of Legal Theory in the New Era".
2. Conference Time and Location
The conference is set to commence at 9:00 a.m. on November 18, 2023, and will conclude within a single day.

3. Invitation to the Conference
The conference will determine the invited authors and report papers based on the quality of the manuscripts and the relevance of the unit's theme. The conference will bear the accommodation and travel expenses of the formally invited participants during the conference.
