At the momentous threshold of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the People's Republic of China, the Communist Youth League of China, guided by the Communist Party of China, has advanced the development of a socialist modern state with resolute and robust strides, embarking on an optimistic new voyage. Throughout this momentous year, under the stewardship of the Law School Youth League Committee and with the collaborative efforts and unwavering support of all Communist Youth League members, the Law School's Youth League organization has elevated its influence to unprecedented heights, further solidifying its influence. Notably, the grassroots league branch secretaries have consistently been instrumental in steering the ideology and spurring the initiatives of the Law School's Communist Youth League members, playing a pivotal role in our collective achievements.

On November 25, 2024, the 2024 Excellent Communist Youth League Branch Secretaries Selection event was conducted in Room 105 of Teaching Building 2. The Deputy Secretary of the Law School Party Committee, Guo Yating, along with counselors Xu Shulin, Li Xiang, Ai Huizi, Qi Shufeng, and Wang Haoyue, as well as the Deputy Secretaries of the Law School Youth League Committee, Zhang Zhuoyuan, Mei Xiaoyu, Shi Xinran, and Wang Zhitong, were present. Joining them were all the Law School Communist Youth League branch secretaries and delegates representing the Communist Youth League members from every branch. The event was moderated by Li Hejie, Secretary of the Organization Department of the Law School Youth League Committee. The event commenced with an invigorating video compilation, thoughtfully recorded by students from each class to cheer on the contestants.

Event Review

The first segment of the event was for all participants to sing the Communist Youth League song together.

The second segment of the event was a keynote address delivered by Guo Yating, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee at the Law School. In her speech, Ms. Guo underscored the pivotal role that the Law School's Communist Youth League branches play in guiding and uniting the youth, organizing and activating their participation, and bridging and serving their needs. She commended the League branch secretaries for their unheralded dedication and proactive assumption of responsibilities across various initiatives. Ms. Guo expressed her hope that the branch secretaries would further enhance their individual skills, organizational coordination, and team ethos, elevating the caliber of their work through continuous learning and practical experience, and effectively acting as a bridge for communication. In conclusion, she urged the contestants to draw inspiration from one another during the competition and extended her best wishes for a successful and rewarding event.

The third segment of the event was the showcase of the League branch secretaries, which comprised a micro-league lecture and an on-site question-and-answer session. The moderator outlined the selection process and scoring criteria for the event outcomes to the panel of judges and the attendees, while also announcing the scores from the Youth League Committee's evaluations and the secretaries' routine performances.

Following this introduction, the event formally commenced, with the six League branch secretaries taking the stage in the order determined by the draw.

The fourth segment featured a sharing session by an excellent League branch secretary. The event welcomed Li Chenxin, the Secretary of the 2023 LL.M. Class League Branch and the recipient of the first prize in the previous year's selection, to impart her insights and experiences as a League branch secretary. Li Chenxin engaged in a dialogue with the audience, offering opinions and recommendations across four key areas: defining responsibilities and roles, reinforcing ideological leadership; bolstering team unity and addressing the needs of classmates; addressing practical issues and innovating work strategies; and enhancing work efficiency. The attendees found the session highly informative and beneficial.

Subsequently, once the tabulations were complete, the outcomes of the competition were revealed. The host eloquently announced the final tallies for each participant, after which the faculty members presented the certificates and awards to the victorious contestants.
