In order to enhance the leadership of the new League branch secretary of the Law School, strengthen the cohesion of the League branch leadership team, and better serve and lead League members, on the afternoon of September 24, the Youth League Committee of the Law School organized its First Youth League Branch Secretary Meeting for the Fall Semester of the 2024-2025 School Year in Room 1922 of the Rear Main Building.
The meeting was chaired by Pei Meijing, secretary of the Organization Department of the Youth League Committee. Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the Law School Chen Xuanyu, deputy secretaries Zhang Zhuoyuan, Mei Xiaoyu, Shi Xinran, Wang Zhitong, and all the Youth League branch secretaries of the Law School attended the meeting.
Meeting content
The first session of the meeting was to play and sing the Youth League anthem. The meeting opened with the solemn rendition of the anthem.
The second session of the meeting was a lecture by the secretary of the Youth League Committee. Chen Xuanyu gave the league secretaries a themed lecture titled "Strengthen the awareness of League members and strive to be first-class students with distinctive "four-have" characteristics". He congratulated the newly elected League secretaries and asked everyone to bear in mind the standards of being a member of the Communist Youth League and the responsibilities and obligations that a Communist Youth League cadre should have. He also encouraged the League secretaries to work hand in hand with the Youth League Committee of the Law School to win still greater success.
The third session of the meeting was to review the semester work plan. Shi Xinran explained the basic duties of the League branch secretaries to everyone, and sorted out and looked forward to the work arrangements for the new semester. Shi encouraged the League branch secretaries to familiarize themselves with the follow-up work plans, actively cooperate in implementing the various work requirements of the Youth League Committee, conscientiously and steadily complete their tasks, and contribute to the construction of the League organization.
The fourth session of the meeting was an introduction to the work of the Youth League School. Gao Yati, member of the Theoretical Research Department of the Youth League Committee, introduced the work and precautions of the Law School's Junior Youth League School to the League secretaries, emphasized the evaluation criteria and scoring method for Party activists, and enabled the League secretaries to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the work of recommending outstanding members to join the Party.
The fifth session of the meeting was team training. Hu Jiabao, member of the Organization Department of the Youth League Committee, introduced the specific matters about the development of League members, emphasizing that political standards should be put first and attention should be paid to the fairness, openness and seriousness of the procedures.
The sixth session of the meeting is for Q&A and communication. The deputy secretary and members of the Youth League Committee had a full Q&A session and exchanged views with the secretaries of the Youth League branches on the content of the meeting. The meeting greatly benefited the secretaries of the Youth League branches as they improved their League affairs skills and cultivated their League character.
The meeting explained and arranged the daily work tasks of the secretaries of the Youth League branches, enhanced their understanding of League work, and pointed out the direction for the subsequent work. We believe that the secretaries of the Youth League branches will be able to demonstrate a sense of responsibility and the overall situation in their future work, actively respond to the call of the Party and League organizations, work hard and forge ahead, and show the high-spirited youthful style of the League cadres of the Law School.
