The 5th issue of Tsinghua University Law Journal in 2024 published a paper by Jia Yizheng, a doctoral student in criminal law at the Law School of Beijing Normal University, entitled "On the Systematic Positioning and Solution Path of Misunderstanding of Causal Relationship". The paper argues that based on the dominant requirement of intent, intent is an element that needs to be considered in both behavioral norms and adjudication norms. Corresponding to behavioral norms and adjudication norms, intent also includes two stages: qualitative judgment and quantitative judgment. Based on these two stages, a systematic solution can be provided for cases of misunderstanding of causal relationships. It is reported that Jia Yizheng is a doctoral student at the Class of 2022 of the Law School of Beijing Normal University, mentored by Professor Huang Xiaoliang, and his research direction is criminal law. In recent years, the Law School of Beijing Normal University has held a series of activities such as the "National Doctoral Student Forum in Criminal Law", "BNU Doctoral Student Forum in Law", and "BNU Legal Graduate Salon", inviting young scholars and senior experts to communicate and discuss with master's and doctoral students, effectively improving the academic research and paper writing capabilities of graduate students.
