On June 14th, the project promotion meeting on "Mechanism Construction and Law Alignment for Litigation Systems in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area" was successfully held in the third conference room on the second floor of the International Exchange Center of Beijing Normal University at Zhuhai. This project promotion meeting was organized by the Center on the Rule of Law and Development of Beijing Normal University at Zhuhai, with a total of sixteen experts and scholars participating. The meeting was chaired by Jing Hanchao, Vice President of the China Law Society and President of the Civil Procedure Law Research Association. The promotion meeting includes five units: conference speeches, presentations from various research groups, discussions and exchanges, project arrangements, and conference summaries.
At the beginning of the promotion meeting, President Jing Hanchao introduced the overall arrangement of the "Mechanism Construction and Law Alignment for Litigation Systems in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area" project, as well as the agenda and goals of this promotion meeting, and highly affirmed the work done by experts and scholars in various research groups.
Dong Fang, Deputy Director of the Rule of Law Construction Department at the Shenzhen Municipal Political and Legal Affairs Commission; An Xin, Vice President of the Shenzhen International Arbitration Court; Yang Xiuqing, Professor at China University of Political Science and Law and Vice President of the China Civil Procedure Law Research Association; Ji Gefei, Professor at China University of Political Science and Law and Secretary-General of the China Civil Procedure Law Research Association; Li Yixing, Deputy Director of the Comprehensive Office at the First Circuit Court of the Supreme People's Court; Xiang Zaisheng, Professor at Central South University of Economics and Law; Liu Ying, Vice President and Professor at the Institute of Foreign-related Rule of Law at Sun Yat-sen University; Xie Wen, Judge at the People's Court of Qianhai Cooperation Zone in Shenzhen; Ding Lianghua, Professor at Central South University and former Director of the Rule of Law Bureau of the Central; Wu Nan, an instructor at the Zhenjiang Municipal Party School in Jiangsu Province; and Liu Xingyu, an Assistant Judge at the Qianhai Cooperation Zone People's Court in Shenzhen, all attended the project promotion meeting.
During the discussion and exchange session, Shi Shi, President of the Intermediate People's Court of Jiangmen City; Bian Fei, President of the People's Court of Qianhai Cooperation Zone in Shenzhen; and Zhang Ke, Associate Professor at the Law School of Guangdong Ocean University, shared their perspectives on the research perspective and methodologies of the topic.
Professor Liu Rongjun from the Law School of Beijing Normal University suggested that a deeper analysis of the underlying reasons could be pursued and that the research content could be enhanced.
Concluding the meeting, President Jing Hanchao provided guidance on the research topic, underscoring both the feasibility and necessity of the study, and emphasized the importance of drafting the report with a systematic approach.
