On December 28, 2021, the Law School Sub-Forum of 2021 Beijing Young Scholars Forum was successfully held, participated by more than ten outstanding young scholars from famous universities at home and abroad. The sub-forum was held by combining online and offline meeting, presided over by Professor CHAI Rong, associate dean, and attended by Professor LIANG Yingxiu, Party Secretary and Dean, Professor LI Bin, associate dean, Professor YUAN Zhijie, associate dean, Professor WU Zongxian, Professor LIU Rongjun, Professor XU Shengping, Professor LENG Luosheng and Professor LIAO Shiping as judges.
Dean LIANG Yingxiu delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the Law School. He said that with the joint efforts of all faculty and students, the Law School of Beijing Normal University has made great strides and outstanding achievements after more than ten years of continuous development. In 2018, it ranked 8th in Chinese mainland and 21st in Asia in law major in the world authoritative QS University Rankings, and it was also the first batch of education and training bases for outstanding legal talents in China. Law School has always attached great importance to the construction of talent team. At present, it has a strong team of excellent faculty members who are committed to the high-quality development of various disciplines and fields. He also emphasized that young faculty members are an important part of the construction of teaching staff, and the college attaches great importance to the introduction and training of young talents, hoping to attract outstanding young scholars to join the Law School of Beijing Normal University through this forum.
The forum was held in morning and afternoon, covering civil and commercial law, international law, constitutional law, network law and social conflict management and many other interdisciplinary fields. The title of the report is novel, and the academic viewpoints are both innovative and in-depth, which not only cover the research of traditional legal field, but also involve the system analysis on foreign-related rule of law, which is the feedback and response to today’s social problems. At the meeting, the judges had a heated and in-depth discussion and exchange with the speakers on the theme of the speech.
Professor CHAI Rong, associate dean, made concluding remarks. She highly affirmed the scientific research ability and academic potential of the young scholars who participated in this sub-forum, and thanked the young scholars for their wonderful speeches. In her opinion, the research content of the speaker is highly cutting-edge and innovative. Especially in the interdisciplinary field, the speakers pays attention to the research ideas and research methods that are particularly needed in the current legal research, and show the mental outlook of the legal youth in the new era, which impressed the judges and gained a lot!
The Beijing Young Scholars Forum is one of the important measures for schools and colleges to vigorously introduce young talents.
