Announcement of the Selection of the Exchange Student for the Semester in the Spring of 2019
I. Program Introduction
In accordance with the exchange agreement between the Law School and NTU College of Law, the Law School will send 1 student (both undergraduate and graduate students can register) to go to the school to study for one semester in the spring of 2020. The student may convert the corresponding number of credits obtained according to the course requirements of the opposite university into our university’s credits after affirmed by Beijing Normal University. The student will enjoy free tuition during his or her study in the university. Please see Annex 2 for more details of the program.
II. Application Requirements
1. Holder of Chinese nationality.
2. The student with excellent academic performance and good conduct as well as a clear study plan and purpose.
3. The applicants should be full-time sophomore year and junior year undergraduate students or 2nd grade graduate students.
4. The student must not return to the mainland for any reason during his or her exchange.
5. The student should return to Beijing Normal University to continue to learn on time after exchange.
6. The applicants should have enough economic capacity to pay the living expenses in Taiwan and round-trip travel expenses.
7. The applicants should refer to the training manual in advance to understand their semester tasks and credit requirements during exchange to avoid unnecessary conflicts with graduation matters of our university.
III. Introduction to Taipei University
Taipei University, referred to as “NTP” or “NTPU”, whose predecessor is School of Law and Business of National Chung Hsing University, founded in 1949, was changed to the current name in 2000, and it has a long history. Located in Taipei City, Taiwan Province, China, this school is one of the top universities in teaching research in the fields of Taiwan law, social science, business, public administration. At present, it has Taipei campuses (located in Zhongshan District, Taipei City, including “Minsheng campus” and “Jianguo campus”) and Sanxia campus (located in Sanxia District, Xinbei City). Taipei University is Taiwan’s top university of law and business. In the humanities and social sciences, Taiwan University, Chengchi University and Taipei University are ranked top three among all universities in Taiwan. Taipei University is the top university of liberal arts in Taiwan and ranked among top three voluntary schools of Taiwan’s high school students. Taipei University, Taiwan University and NCCU are leaders in law and business education in Taiwan Province.
IV. Application Procedure and Contact Person
1. Deadline for the submission of application materials: 24:00 October 7, 2019 (Monday)
2. Those students who are interested are requested to fill in the Application Form in Annex 1 and send it to Ms. ZHANG’s e-mail: lilyzhang0808@163.com before the deadline. The subject of the e-mail and file is “Spring 2020- Taipei University Exchange Student Registration + Applicant's Name”.
3. Please hand over the following paper application materials to Ms. ZHANG in the office 1910 of the Law School before 10:00 October 8, 2019:
CV (including the basic information, contact information, education background, etc.), copies of transcripts, research results and award certificates (A3 paper)
The applicants also need to submit a study plan, indicating the credits of the courses to be exchanged and explaining the reasons why the courses can be exchanged.
4. For credit conversion problems, undergraduates may refer to Annex 3 and graduate students are requested to choose similar subjects. Please consult teacher HE 58805082 (undergraduate), teacher WANG 58805232 (LL.M, JM) and teacher JIANG 58802948 (academic master) for details.
