On the morning of August 24th, 2016, the 4th “National Legal System and Practice Workshop” of Beijing Normal University, more than ten students from the University of Hong Kong and the City University of Hong Kong visited the Fourth Intermediate People's Court of Beijing. Associate Professor Zhang Hong, Associate Dean of Beijing Normal University Law School, Associate Professor Tang Wei and Teacher Zhang Jin led the event. Vice President Cheng Hu of the Fourth Intermediate People's Court, Vice-President of the Administrative Court, Dr. Wu Nan and Judge Zhang Lipeng warmly received the delegation.
The members of the workshop first attended an administrative case, and the trial process was very exciting. The students carefully observed the case. After the trial, Judge Wu Nan led all the participants of the workshop to visit the courts, mediation rooms, litigation service centers and digital centers of the Fourth Intermediate People's Court, so that the students had a better understanding of the Fourth Intermediate People's Court.
Subsequently, Vice-Chan Cheng, Vice-President Wu Nan and Judge Zhang Lipeng organized a workshop to conduct “on-site teaching” and gave patient and meticulous explanations on the trial of the case and the relevant judicial system. Vice President Cheng Hu gave a detailed introduction to the main work of the Fourth Intermediate People's Court and the case of the contract. The classmates actively raised questions and had a pleasant interaction with the judges of the Fourth Intermediate People's Court.
The visit was highly praised by the classmates. The students expressed their sincere appreciation for the reform results of the Fourth Intermediate People's Court and the rigorous and meticulous work attitude of the judges.
