On September 16, 2014, the first preparatory meeting for the first international e-commerce law high-level forum was successfully held in the 1821 conference room of the main building of Beijing Normal University.
The experts attending the preparatory meeting included Shi Weizhi, deputy director of the Research Office of the National People's Congress Financial and Economic Committee, Liu Hong, Director of the Department of Law and Law of the Ministry of Commerce, Shen Tuxiaoqi, Director of the Department of Electronic Commerce and Information Technology of the Ministry of Commerce, and Secretary of the Office of the National People's Congress. Yang, deputy director of the China Electronic Commerce Association Policy and Law Committee, Almatus, and head of the International Development Law Organization (IDLO), Mr. William Paton. The preparatory meeting was presided over by Professor Xue Hong, Director of the Center for Internet Policy and Legal Studies of the Institute. Associate Professor Zhao Bingzhi of the Law School and Associate Professor Zhang Hong of the School of Law attended the meeting.
At the preparatory meeting, Vice President Zhang Hong of the School of Law first expressed sincere welcome to the experts, and briefed the experts on the initiation and development of the joint certification project organized by Beijing Normal University and the United Nations Trade Law. Professor Xue Hong then gave a detailed explanation to the experts on the development of the joint certification project around the world, and put forward his own ideas on the time, form and issues of the first international e-commerce law high-level forum. The participating experts began to demonstrate this and actively expressed their opinions and suggestions.
Dean Zhao Bingzhi of the Law School of the two institutes made a special trip to the meeting to introduce to the experts the composition of the faculty members of the two schools of law and the construction of disciplines in recent years, and issued the certificate of membership of the International Expert Advisory Committee for the experts.
The preparatory meeting confirmed the details of the first high-level forum on international e-commerce law, which laid a solid foundation for the smooth running of the forum.
