On March 27, 2012, at the invitation of Teacher He Dan of the School of Law, Petro R. Kostiv, a lecturer in law and economics at KYIV UNIVERSITY OF LAW, gave a lesson on business law to Master of Laws of 2011 in the Law School.
Petro R. Kostiv is a JD from the University of Michigan Law School, a Master of History from the University of California at Berkeley, and a Master of Political Science from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. He studied at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, the University of Antioquia in Colombia, and served as an assistant to the Supreme Court of Argentina. He is qualified as a lawyer in the United States and Ukraine. His research interests include American law, Latin American law, and tax law.
In the three-hour course, Petro R. Kostiv was taught in English. Through case analysis, students were able to understand the initial methods of analyzing American cases, and felt the teaching methods of American law schools, and the legal English has also been greatly improved.
