On the afternoon of October 23, 2018, Professor Michel Morin, the Associate Dean of Faculty of Law of the University of Montreal of Canada, and Professor JIAO Jie, the Director of the Sino-Canadian Law Research Center of the China University of Political Science and Law, visited the Law School of Beijing Normal University and gave a special lecture on LLM of International Business Law and Comparative Common Law to our students. Professor LU Jianping, the Dean of our school, received Professor Michel Morin and other guests.
President LU first welcomed the arrival of Professor Michel Morin and Professor JIAO Jie. At the same time, he told the students who attended the lecture that they should seize various opportunities to pursuit their further deeper progress in famous overseas universities. University of Montreal not only has a multilingual teaching environment, but also includes the exchange and integration of common law system and continental law system. Moreover, Canada boasts a perfect social welfare security system and the relatively low cost of living. It is indeed a good choice for studying abroad. In the future, it is also expected that the two law schools will strengthen their cooperation in student exchanges and double-degree programs to provide more students with opportunities for exchange and further study.

Professor Michel Morin, the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law of the University of Montreal, thanked President LU for his warm reception and also responded to President Lu's wishes and expectations for in-depth cooperation between the two universities in the future. Later, he introduced in detail the enrollment of LLM of International Business Law and Comparative Common Law programs in their school to all the students present and exchanged views with them on relevant issues.
