JIANG Ping is a renowned jurist in China, Tenured Professor in China University of Political Science and Law, Doctoral Supervisor in civil and commercial law, an expert approved by the State Council with outstanding contributions and awarded government special subsidies. He was elected as a representative of the Seventh National People’s Congress, a Member of the Standing Committee of the Seventh National People’s Congress, and a deputy director of the Law Committee. He served as the president of the China University of Political Science and Law and the vice president of the Chinese Law Society. He taught courses in Chinese Civil Law, Roman Law, and Corporate Law in the Ghent University in Belgium, the University of Hong Kong in China, the University of Rome II in Italy, the Aoyama College in Japan, and the Columbia University in the United States. He was also awarded the Honorary Doctor of Law by the University of Ghent in Belgium and the Honorary Professor of Law by the Catholic University of Peru. Currently, he serves as a special adviser in the Supreme People’s Court, an arbitrator in the International Arbitration Commission, the director of the Beijing Arbitration Commission, and the president of the Comparative Law Association of China Law Society.
