On October 16, after the mid-term visit of school leaders, the military training entered the sprint stage. Various special subjects for performance were also in the middle of preparation. The girls' company spelled characters by changing group formation, which closely followed the theme of the 40th anniversary of the reform and opening-up. The boys’ company was divided into two square teams which were responsible for performing martial arts with stick and shield and grapple. Both teams were uniform and powerful. 119 freshmen of our school took part in the performance of special subjects, demonstrating assiduousness and preciseness that are traditions of our school.
On October 17, the 2018 Military Games were held in the military training base in the morning. The students of our school actively participated in the events such as collective running, tornado and grenade throwing. During the competition, the students cooperated with and helped each other to finish the competition together. This sports meeting stimulated the students' fighting spirit, strengthened the collective sense of unity and cooperation, and enhanced the friendly feelings among the students.
On October 18, the military training was drawing to a close, and the first joint training was held in the afternoon. The morale of the students was high. In the march-past, the square teams of the 2nd and 9th companies where the boys and girls from our school were located took strong steps with loud slogans, demonstrating the outcomes of more than ten days of hard training. It also showed the rule consciousness and discipline consciousness of our school students as quasi-lawyers.
On October 19, only one day left before the military training report performance, and the training and rehearsals were carried out in an orderly way. Meanwhile, the last interior service appraisal was also held in the morning. After drawing lots, each company selected two dormitories for scoring. Although there was only one day left before the end of military training, the students of our school didn’t slack but had done a good job in housekeeping with the highest standards. The girl's company of our school won the second place, and CHANG Jingzi from our school was also rated as an excellent individual in the interior service.
On October 20, the 14-day military training ushered in the final inspection. The closing ceremony of the training was held at the military training base in the morning. LI Xiaobing, the Deputy Secretary of the school Party committee, WANG Zili, the Minister of the People's Armed Forces Department of Shunyi District of Beijing, ZHANG Bing, a Researcher at division level of the Sports, Health and Arts Education Office of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, SONG Mingliang, Political Commissar and Secretary of the Party committee of the Network Department of the People's Liberation Army News Communication Center, and leaders and teachers of all functional departments and departments of Beijing Normal University attended the ceremony. Teacher YUAN Yin, the Deputy Secretary of the general Party branch of our school, and Teacher JIA Wanting, the head teacher of the freshmen class, attended the ceremony. At the closing ceremony of the training, the march-past and performance of special subjects were carried out in turn. The students in our school had forceful steps and uniform movements, which demonstrated their 14-day training results and good mental outlook.
The freshmen's military training in our school was led by Teachers MA Liya and WANG Xingwen. They ate, lived and got training with the students for two whole weeks. In this process, they guided the students' thoughts, cared about the daily training and life of the students, and fully cooperated with the work of the school and the instructors. They were serious and responsible and they worked tirelessly, which gave a hand in successfully completing the 2018 freshmen military training of our school. Through 14-day patriotism education and national defense education practice, the freshmen in our school have exercised their strong will, cultivated optimistic and confident attitude towards life, shaped the collective concept of unity and cooperation, inherited the fine style of hard work and laid a solid foundation for their growth into a qualified lawyer.
