A few days before the departure, the “migrant bird” practice team conducted a pre-departure meeting. On July 13, 2018, seven students from Beijing Normal University set foot on the train to Tangyin County, Anyang City, Henan Province. In the face of education and research that we have never experienced before, we are excited and embarrassed along the way, imagining the life of the next seven days, and the eight or nine hours of travel seems to be less exhausting.
The first day of teaching was a Saturday, and the children had a fun games and singing competition, which gave the children who rarely stood on stage the opportunity to show themselves and exercise themselves. The children of all grades are still reluctant to go from early morning to late, until they are picked up by their families.
The days after the formal classes for the children will begin. The members of the "Migratory Birds" practice team discussed the arrangement of the course at noon and evening, and sent a gift specially prepared for the children from Beijing Normal University.
For the children, these gifts are commemorative on the one hand, and on the other hand, they can make them understand that only they have worked hard to make achievements and receive rewards. We really hope that these small items will make them firm. The ideal goal in the heart is to work harder on the road of learning and living.
In the process of getting along with the children, our role is a teacher and a friend.
On the non-supporting day, the members of the "migrant bird" practice team, after preparing the lecture outline and discussing the teaching procedures, will split the road into two homes, and go to the homes of several students to make home visits, all the way to the town government of Wuling Town. Investigate the specific implementation and situation of the town's precise poverty alleviation.
This “migrant bird” practice team's teaching and research project aims to start from the two perspectives of education and poverty alleviation, and combine the two from one aspect to explore the significance of education poverty alleviation for poor households, countries and people. Committed to discovering the difficulties encountered in the process of promoting poverty alleviation at the grassroots level, and thinking about the aspects that should be considered in solving related problems.
We believe that this practice and teaching process brought a lot of knowledge to the children, and more importantly, sent warmth, which made the children grow up a lot in the process. At the same time, every member of the practice team has grown a lot in this process. In these days in Dasong Village, Wuling Town, Tangyin County, we start work every morning in the early morning. The school is surrounded by vast fields, and there is no bright light and bustling, but this also makes our hearts calm down and pay more attention. Many places have concentrated on their own teaching and research work, so that the short eight days have been greatly enriched, making this practice a worthwhile trip.
