On November 6, 2018, 6:30 PM, “WE can expect the future” civil servant examination training lectures，jointly held by the law school of Beijing normal university and the student employment guidance center, started its first lecture smoothly in Jingwen Lecture Hall. More than 200 students from all faculties of our university participated in this activity.
This lecture was presided over by Dr. ZHAO Guangyu, and invited Teacher MA Li, a former head of Beijing government offices and public institutions recruitment work, certificated examiner of civil servant interviewer of the state human resources and social security system. Teacher MA presented the students an excellent lecture on guidance for civil servant registration, including the perspective of registration situation, position selection, self-cognition and preparation for the written examination.
Teacher MA Li had rich experience of selecting civil servant, and the lecture was vivid and humorous with practical value. At the beginning of the lecture, Teacher MA firstly analyzed the current situation of the national civil servant examination and Beijing civil servant examination, including the conditions for applying for the examination, the proportion of enrollment and the distribution of posts, so as to establish a preliminary understanding of the civil service examination for the students. Based on the accurate analysis of the data, combining the statistics of the number of applicants for each post, written examination and interview scores with specific cases from her own work experience, Teacher MA emphasized the importance of post selection and explained the specific skills of post selection.
At last, the Teacher provided us with a model of job selection, in order to help us better discover our self-cognition and choose a suitable post. The Teacher pointed out that selecting a post should take not only the need for our profession into consideration, but also the matching degree of the post with our ability, habit and so on, for what the examiner inspect in the interview is not limited to the individual quality, but also includes the development potentiality, the study ability and so on.
After the lecture, Teacher MA Li answered the specific questions raised from our students based on their own situations about the civil servant examination. Students said that they benefited a lot from the lecture.
Through this lecture, students have clearer recognition of post selecting and test preparing for the civil servant examination, and a clearer understanding of the qualities that a qualified public servant should have and the direction of their efforts. What’s more, this lecture also further strengthened the determination of our students to become an excellent national civil servants to contribute to our national construction.
