In 1/14/2018, 12 students lead by Professor Ma Jianyin from BNU Law School went to Griffith University and began a period of 14 days study tour.
In this 14 days, the students had studied the common law,the international human rights law,the tort law, the criminal law, the criminal procedure law and so on. No matter in class or after class, students can actively ask questions about the problem in the class, communicate with teachers and classmates, and the class atmosphere is very active. Not only make students have a deeper understanding of the establishment and development of the legal system in Australia, but also enhance their ability to express their spoken English.
Besides the class study, students also went to the Brisbane court for study tours. At the court, students visited the judges' daily offices under the guidance of their judges and learned about the work of judges. At the same time, the students also visited courts with different trial functions in the courts and were fortunate enough to be admitted to courtrooms undergoing court proceedings. In combination with what they had learned in the classroom, students were allowed to hearing process and methods in Australia, and have a deeper impression of the organizational structure of the legal institutions in Australia.
In the meantime, students visited the local law firms. In the law firm, the partners of the law firm firstly introduced the establishment and development of the law firm to the students in detail. Then the intern of the law firm told the students about the experience of their internship here and reward. This will have a great learning value for future internships and induction of students
In addition, the students also visited the Gold Coast Law Center and exchanged views with staff of the Legal Center on the nature and function of the legal center's organization and the problems and solutions encountered in the daily work of the staff of the Legal Center. The sharing of these experiences will be of great help to our students in their legal work in the future.
A short period of nearly half a month of learning, so that students have a better understanding of Australian law-related knowledge and learning, English writing and speaking ability has been enhanced, broaden the perspective and perspective of learning.
